hi, im just wondering how I would tackle the problem of checking the item_instance_property of a checbox.

I know you can set a property by doing:

set_item_instance_property('mytable.item_name',Current_record,UPDATE_ALLOWED,property_False);

now i want to be able to check if update allowed is set to false and if so then get my program to do something. How would this be done, if it is possible.

I take it get_item_instance_property didn't occur to either of you?

If I didn't know it existed anyway it'd be my first guess.

Ahazin I really strongly suggest you spend some time reading the online help in form builder.
It's incredibly comprehensive and you would have found this from a search in a lot less time than it took for me to tell you.
