hi guys !

I have lost a .fmb Mad ... now i have only .fmx , there are a fmx_to_fmb or a fmx_to_txt converter or similar ???. I need to make some changes to the form but i don't know how to recreate my .fmb !!!

Unfortunately, no. You can open the fmx in a good text editor and copy most of your SQL out of it but that is all.

Any text editor will do, there's a lot of binary data in fmx's so a lot of it will look like garbage but if search for SELECT for example, you should find something readable.

hi i am using ultra edit text editor, when opened a fmx file using this editor, only hex values is being displayed!!! i cant read anything!!! please advise..

I would like to ask 1 more thing...
how can I open a .fmx file in oracle forms 10g.on trying to open any .fmx file I finds some error messeges related to login...
please tell me ...

You don't open fmx's in form builder, you open fmb's. So what are you trying to do and why?

.fmx is compiled form so it shud run without its .fmb file... then how can I run that directly


whwn I double-clicks the .fmx file it shows an error like
'ora-01005:null password given;logon denied'
how can I recover that...?

Is this a question or an answer?
Are you hijacking somoene else's thread or adding to it?

You do not double-click on a .FMX file. You put it on the application server and call it in a URL in the web browser.

You can't run it just by double-clicking on the FMX file; Forms 10g are web-based so you'd need an internet browser to make it work. Check this OTN Forms Forum topic.
